The contract for the extension of the medieval settlement in Huta Szklana to include the Swietokrzyska Zagroda Kultury was signed.
The signing of the contract with our company for the construction of the Świętokrzyska Cultural Homestead in Huta Szklana was ceremonial. The ceremony took place on Wednesday 2 September in the Oleśnicki Chapel in the Holy Cross Sanctuary.
The full name of the task is ‘Extension of the Medieval Settlement in Huta Szklana by a Świętokrzyska Zagroda Kultury’ (Harmony's facility) as part of the project ‘Enhancement of cultural heritage and development of cultural and tourism infrastructure through revitalisation of the Monastery Complex at the Holy Cross with extension of the Medieval Settlement’, co-financed with EU money.
On behalf of the Bieliny municipality, the agreement was signed by Mayor Sławomir Kopacz, on behalf of the construction company Anna Bud Sp. z.o.o. - president Anna Bartela.
The lump of the building will refer to a rural homestead and a folk instrument - the harmonium as a symbol of idyllic games and feasts. The exhibition area will be approximately 600 square metres. An auditorium will be created in the basement of the building. The building will be full of multimedia functionalities and solutions.
Work is also planned at the Holy Cross. These will include the basilica, the Oleśnicki chapel, the cloisters and the monastery. The plans include renovation of the floors, conservation of altars, old furniture and frescoes. New heating, lighting and sound systems will be installed. The main entrance doors to the basilica will also be replaced. Architectural barriers to accessing the church for people with disabilities will be removed. Audio guides for tourists will appear at the entrance to the cloisters.
The project will be completed in 2023. European funding represents more than PLN 13.6 million.
